Established in 1996, The Breast Care Center of New Jersey was created to meet the growing need for a comprehensive patient treatment facility which would incorporate ultrasonography, screenings and an operation suite all at a single location, in a private doctor's office in a nice suburban area.

The Breast Care Center of New Jersey is the first center in the state to offer ABBI (Advanced Breast Biopsy Instrumentation) to our patients in 1996. The ABBI System combines Stereotactic Imaging Technology with an advanced minimally invasive biopsy device.

In 1999, we introduced siteselect which is an improvement over the ABBI and spares all normal tissue and removes only the abnormal tissue

Unlike open biopsy procedures, the SiteSelect System allows for needle localization to within plus/minus 1mm of accuracy and entire specimen removal without excessive morbidity.

The SiteSelect procedure takes less time than open biopsy and is performed as an office procedure, under local anesthesia allowing the patient to return to normal activities immediately following with little or no discomfort. In addition, we also offer other minimally invasive procedures such as Stereotactic core biopsy, Mammotome and Sentinel node biopsy.
